At 11:52 a.m. the Devils Lake Police Station was contacted about an accident at the intersection of 5th Ave. NE and 10th St. NE. Samantha Otto, 16 of Devils Lake, and Wendy Frelich, 35 of rural Devils Lake, were the drivers of the vehicles.
According to the Devils Lake Police Department, Otto was traveling east on 10th St. NE when she drove her 1998 Dodge Stratus past a stop sign, and hit the front passenger side of Frelich's 2006 Ford Escape, causing it to roll. An 11 year-old boy who was traveling with Frelich was assessed for injuries and taken to Mercy Hospital. Frelich was also taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
